Privacy policy

1. About this policy

This policy explains what data the Mushroom Navigator app (Android, package com.mushroomtracker) and the mushroom.dasp.top website process.

In short: the app does not send us your data. There are no accounts, no cloud storage and no payments.

Questions and personal data requests: support@dasp.top.

2. Spots and tracks stay on your phone

The app uses location to save spots, guide you back and record tracks. Coordinates, names, notes, photos, videos and tracks are stored only on your device.

We never receive this data: the app no longer has cloud storage. A backup is a file you save wherever you want (Downloads, Google Drive, a messenger).

Background location is used while the voice assistant is on during navigation or a track is being recorded. A notification stays visible the whole time.

If Google Play services are available, Google’s location service may be used for accuracy; it operates under Google’s policies.

3. Maps

With the online map enabled, the app loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap servers, which see your IP address.

An offline map is downloaded, only after you confirm it, from the Mapsforge project server (download.mapsforge.org), which also sees your IP address. The map file then lives on your phone.

4. The website

The website is static: no accounts, forms, analytics, ads, trackers or cookies.

The web server keeps ordinary technical access logs (including IP addresses) for a short time, as needed to run the site and prevent abuse.

5. Who receives data

Nobody. We do not sell or share data; we simply do not have it. Your IP address is seen only by the map services listed above, when you use them.

6. Deleting your data

All app data is removed together with the app or manually inside it. Backup files you saved yourself are yours to delete.

Cloud backups that may have been uploaded by earlier versions of the app have been deleted from the server.

7. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date on this page.
